He could no longer keep his eyes closed. The guards would be there in another ten minutes, but for Telemachus, it was all over. He thought of how his mattress, like the cell around him, consisted mostly of empty space. When they finally arrived, the guards handed him a remote. He sent the appropriate neuronal signals to his forefinger and pushed the off button.
